Kazam evolves. Easier to adopt, the same freedom of choice.
Kazam started out as a platform for running the warehouse, automation and integrations. Today it adds Kazam Web and a configuration assistant, while keeping Web, Mobile and Desktop on the same application domain and the same data.
Not a new product: a new way into the same platform.
Kazam Web does not replace your warehouse: it adds a new point of access. The Desktop client stays available for those who prefer an installed application. Kazam Mobile stays the working tool out on the floor. Kazam Web becomes the hub for the people who coordinate, configure and check.
| Before | Today | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|
| Desktop as the point of entry | Web as the operations hub | Nothing to install on the coordination workstations |
| Configuration handled from the client | Configuration available from the browser too | More accessible, same data |
| Trial through a Windows setup | Trial from the browser | Evaluate Kazam without preparing workstations |
| Mobile and Desktop | Web, Mobile and Desktop | Every role uses the interface that suits it best |
Four ways to adopt the same Kazam.
There is no free Kazam and paid Kazam as two different products. There is one platform, taken on with different responsibilities and different services.
| Route | When it makes sense | Who runs infrastructure and updates |
|---|---|---|
| SaaS | You want to start without running servers | Sun Tech |
| On-premise | You have your own infrastructure and an in-house IT team | Your team |
| Access to the sources | You have developers and already hold the components | Your team |
| Partner | You want to design and resell Kazam solutions | The partner |
Why we now say source-available.
More precision about the freedom you actually have.
Kazam is not distributed under an OSI open source licence and cannot be freely redistributed. The code is nevertheless accessible to customers and partners under agreement: it can be read, verified, adapted and extended for the project you have agreed.
Calling it source-available takes nothing away from technical transparency: it sets out conditions, rights and responsibilities before the project starts.
The assistant does not decide for you.
The assistant gathers the information from the people who know the warehouse, prepares a configuration and shows the plan of changes. Nothing is applied automatically: control and approval always stay with the customer.
The answers to the questions that matter during the change.
Do I have to migrate my data to use Kazam Web?
Is Kazam Desktop being dropped?
Am I obliged to move to SaaS?
Can the AI assistant change the warehouse without oversight?
See Kazam Web on your own scenario.
An engineer replies within one business day and opens your access. If you would rather talk it through first, the first technical conversation with an engineer is free.
